Data Sharing Agreement
This explains what happens to a candidate's information when Elip introduces them to a company. It forms part of our Company Terms.
1. When data is shared
Only after the candidate has agreed to be introduced to you. Until then you see a summary with no contact details.
2. What is shared
The candidate's name and contact details. Their experience and skills as they described them to Elip, and any resume or intro they approved. Elip's note on why they fit the role. We don't share the candidate's full conversation with Elip, their other applications, or anything unrelated to your role.
3. Each of us is a separate controller
Elip decides how candidate data is used inside Elip. Once we share data with you, you decide how you use it for your hiring, within these terms and the law. Each of us is responsible for our own compliance, including under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act where they apply.
4. What you may do with it
Assess the candidate for the role Elip introduced them for, and for closely related roles at your company. Contact them about those roles.
5. What you may not do with it
Add them to a marketing list or talent database without their separate consent. Share it with another company, agency, or data broker. Use it for any purpose other than hiring. Use it to discriminate on any protected basis.
6. Security
Keep candidate data on systems with reasonable access controls. Tell us at gaurav@tryelip.ai within 72 hours if you become aware of a breach involving data we shared.
7. Deletion
Delete candidate data when the role is filled or closed, or within 12 months of the introduction, whichever is sooner, unless you've hired the candidate or the law requires you to keep it. Confirm deletion if we ask.
8. Candidate requests
If a candidate asks you to access, correct, or delete their data, handle it under the law that applies to you, and tell us so we can do the same on our side.
9. Transfers
Data may move between the United States, India, and other countries. Each of us will use lawful transfer mechanisms where required.
