Privacy Policy
Elip is a job agent that lives in your chats. To find you jobs, we need some of your data. This page explains exactly what we take, why, and how to make us delete it. No dark patterns, no fine-print tricks.
1. Who we are
Elip (“we”, “us”) is a product of Freshview Innovations (India) Private Limited, a company registered in India.

For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDPA”), Freshview Innovations (India) Private Limited is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described in this policy.
2. What we collect
We collect only what the product needs to work:
- Contact data: your WhatsApp phone number and display name, captured when you message Elip.
- Profile data: whatever you choose to share so Elip can match you — your résumé, LinkedIn profile or URL, work history, skills, education, salary expectations, location and work preferences, and voice notes you send (which we transcribe).
- Conversation data:your chats with Elip, including preferences you state over time (“remote only”, “not startups”), which Elip remembers to improve your matches.
- Usage data: message timestamps, delivery/read status, and basic technical logs needed to run and debug the service.
We do not collect payments data from job seekers (the service is free for seekers), and we do not access your WhatsApp contacts, other chats, or anything outside your conversation with Elip.
3. Why we collect it (purposes)
- To build your candidate profile and match you against job listings.
- To send you job matches, tailored résumés, and related updates on WhatsApp.
- To remember your stated preferences so you never have to repeat them.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service.
- To comply with law.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.
4. WhatsApp messaging, opt-in and opt-out
By sending a message to Elip on WhatsApp, you opt in to receive replies and service messages from Elip (Freshview Innovations (India) Private Limited) on WhatsApp, including job matches, résumé outputs, and service updates related to your job search.
- Transactional/service messages (job matches, résumé delivery, answers to your queries) are sent as part of the service you requested.
- Promotional messages, if we ever introduce them, will require your separate, explicit opt-in. We will never pre-tick that choice for you, and declining will not affect your job matches.
Opting out: reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages from Elip, or ask Elip to delete your data (see Section 8). We honour opt-outs immediately.
5. Who we share data with (Data Processors)
We use a small set of service providers to run Elip, strictly as processors on our instructions:
- Meta Platforms (WhatsApp Business Platform) — message delivery.
- Cloud infrastructure providers (e.g., Amazon Web Services) — hosting, storage, and search.
- AI model providers (e.g., OpenAI) — processing your profile and job descriptions to produce matches and tailored résumés. Your data is sent to these providers only to perform the service and is not used by us to train public models.
We may share data if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect our legal rights. If Freshview Innovations is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may be transferred with equivalent protections; we will notify you of any such change.
6. Data storage and security
Your data is stored on secured cloud infrastructure. In transit, WhatsApp messages are end-to-end encrypted between you and our business endpoint; at rest, we apply industry-standard safeguards including encryption, access controls, and audit logging. Access inside the company is limited to personnel who need it to operate the service.
No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach affecting your personal data occurs, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required under the DPDPA.
7. Retention
We keep your data only while you use Elip. If your account is inactive for 24 months, we delete your profile and conversation data. Technical logs are retained for up to 90 days. Data required for legal or tax compliance is retained only as long as the law requires.
8. Deletion — “one message wipes everything”
We mean it. Message Elip “delete my data” (or email gaurav@tryelip.ai) and we will erase your personal data — profile, résumé, chat history, transcripts, and copies in backups — within 30 days, and confirm to you when it's done. After deletion, Elip will not remember you unless you start again from scratch.
9. Your rights under the DPDPA
You have the right to:
- Access — ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data (Section 8).
- Grievance redressal — raise a complaint and get a response.
- Nominate — nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in case of death or incapacity.
To exercise any of these, message Elip or email gaurav@tryelip.ai. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

We respond to grievances within the timelines prescribed under applicable law.
11. Age limit
Elip is for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly process the personal data of children. If you believe a minor has used the service, contact us and we will delete the data.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, for material changes, notify you on WhatsApp before they take effect. Continued use after notice means you accept the updated policy.
