About the Role

Purplle is looking for an experienced and customer-focused Store Manager to manage the overall operations of a Purplle beauty retail store in Trivandrum.

The Store Manager will be responsible for store sales, team management, customer experience, inventory, visual merchandising, operational compliance and achievement of business targets.

Key ResponsibilitiesStore Operations

Manage the day-to-day operations of the Purplle store.

Ensure smooth opening and closing of the store.

Maintain store standards, cleanliness and product displays.

Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs and operational guidelines.

Monitor store security and prevent stock loss/shrinkage.

Sales & Business

Drive daily, weekly and monthly sales targets.

Monitor store performance and identify opportunities to improve sales.

Track KPIs such as sales, conversion, average bill value and productivity.

Implement strategies to improve customer walk-ins and sales conversion.

Ensure effective execution of promotions and offers.

Team Management

Lead, motivate and manage the store team.

Allocate daily responsibilities and manage staff schedules.

Monitor individual team performance and productivity.

Conduct regular team briefings and product/process training.

Support recruitment, onboarding and development of store employees.

Handle attendance, discipline and basic employee-related issues.

Customer Experience

Ensure excellent customer service and shopping experience.

Handle customer queries, complaints and escalations professionally.

Ensure Beauty Advisors provide appropriate product recommendations.

Build strong customer relationships and encourage repeat visits.

Inventory & Merchandising

Monitor stock availability and replenishment.

Conduct regular stock checks and support stock audits.

Minimize stock discrepancies, damages and expiry-related losses.

Ensure products are properly displayed and merchandise standards are maintained.

Coordinate with relevant teams for stock requirements and transfers.

Reporting & Compliance

Prepare and maintain daily/weekly store reports.

Monitor sales and operational KPIs.

Ensure accurate billing and cash-handling procedures.

Maintain required store documentation and records.

Ensure adherence to company policies and statutory requirements.

Candidate Profile

Experience: 2–5 years in retail/store management, preferably in beauty, cosmetics, fashion, lifestyle or FMCG retail.

Strong people-management and leadership skills.

Good communication and customer-handling skills.

Strong sales orientation and target-driven approach.

Good knowledge of retail operations and inventory management.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.

Basic knowledge of MS Excel and reporting.

Candidates with experience managing a team of Beauty Advisors/Sales Associates will be preferred.
