PW is backed by leading investors such as Hornbill Capital, Lightspeed Ventures, Westbridge, and GSV Ventures, supporting its rapid growth and long-term vision.Role Description The Senior Counselor role at PW in Vadodara is a full-time, on-site position focused on guiding students and families through PW’s educational programs and pathways. The Senior Counselor will engage with prospective and current learners, understand their academic goals, and recommend suitable courses, test-preparation modules, and skilling or higher-education options. Daily responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, responding to inquiries, maintaining accurate student records, and collaborating with academic and operations teams to ensure a smooth learner journey. The role involves supporting admissions processes, participating in seminars or information sessions, and providing regular follow-ups to improve student engagement and retention. The Senior Counselor is expected to uphold PW’s mission of accessible, high-quality education while maintaining professional, empathetic, and solution-oriented communication.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong student counseling, mentoring, and guidance skills, with the ability to understand individual learner needs and aspirations.Candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening, clear articulation, and relationship-building with students and families.Candidates should possess organizational and documentation skills, including managing student data, tracking follow-ups, and coordinating with internal teams.Candidates should possess basic sales and advisory skills, such as explaining program benefits, addressing concerns, and supporting admissions conversions ethically.Candidates should possess familiarity with education and test-preparation ecosystems, ideally including entrance exams, skilling programs, and higher-education pathways.Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, Management, or a related field is preferred; advanced certifications in counseling or career guidance are an advantage.Prior experience in academic counseling, admissions, or student support in an education or edtech environment is highly beneficial.Ability to work on-site in Vadodara, manage a dynamic workload, use digital tools/CRMs, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
