Role Description: The Assistant Procurement Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Vadodara. This role supports end-to-end procurement activities, including identifying requirements, sourcing suppliers, evaluating proposals, and assisting in contract negotiations. The Assistant Procurement Manager coordinates with internal stakeholders to understand material and service needs, ensures timely issuance of purchase orders, and monitors supplier performance and compliance with agreed-upon terms. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining accurate procurement records, analysing spend data, optimising the supplier base, and contributing to cost-saving initiatives. The role also involves collaborating with finance and operations teams to resolve discrepancies, improve processes, and ensure adherence to company procurement policies.
QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Procurement and Supplier Evaluation skills for managing sourcing activities and assessing vendor capabilities.Candidates should possess Contract Negotiation and Contract Management skills to support agreement drafting, review, and ongoing compliance.Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret data, track KPIs, and identify opportunities for cost and process improvements.Relevant bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.Experience in procurement, supply chain, or sourcing roles, preferably in MRO or industrial categories.Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement or ERP systems; familiarity with data analytics tools is an advantage.Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation abilities, with attention to detail and time management.Ability to work on-site in Vadodara and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
