Organizational Overview

Our ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management (IRM) team enables and supports the transformation journey to mature Enterprise Service Management through the adoption of Policy & Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management capabilities. We are focused on building scalable, business-aligned risk and compliance solutions that enhance governance, strengthen control effectiveness, and enable operational excellence in support of Enterprise Cloud Migration and AI adoption.

Role Summary/Purpose

The AVP, ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management Leader has the technical, development and architectural accountability of Integrated Risk Management (IRM) within Synchrony’s ServiceNow platform. The leader will guide the Integrated Risk Management ServiceNow implementation and ongoing enhancements. This role will focus on IRM and, as bandwidth allows, will expand to additional ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITAM, ITOM). The candidate will work with a team of employees and contractors responsible for executing the technology development road map and driving continual service improvements. The candidate will report into the VP, Service Assets & Configuration Management Leader (SACM). This position requires an individual that demonstrates leadership, business strategy, decision-making, and management skills. This position is remote, where you have the option to work from home. On occasion we may request for you to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events. Key Responsibilities

Act as the Technology Product Owner for the ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management solution suiteProvide subject matter expertise in IRM and other ServiceNow functionalityLead ServiceNow IRM implementation & oversee architectural designFacilitate project introduction, working sessions & status meetings, while creating and managing project timelineDocument and maintain functional business requirements, process flows and business use casesLead discussions and workshops to create a risk-aware culture through proper technology enablement of risk-related processesConfigure and implement IRM related business processes into ServiceNow including Policy and Compliance Management, Audit, Advanced Risk and other Risk Management processesCollaborate with the engagement team to coordinate, plan and deliver ServiceNow IRMEnable and automate risk management processes (i.e., risk assessments, risk mitigation strategies, and risk register, etc.)Design and develop enhancements and help fix issues or defects which arise in the production environmentLeverage the IRM suite to its full valueDesign / Develop additional ServiceNow Modules (ITSM, ITAM, ITOM) with a concentration on Configuration ManagementDesign and architect solutions to automated processesProvide final quality assurance reviews of all deliverablesDesign and deliver end user trainingIdentify system or process deficiencies and recommend solutions for continual service improvementsProduce accurate reporting for senior management; Take action to correct data or process ensuring Risk Metrics remain in controlParticipate in inquiries, exams and surveillance verifying the processes, controls, and data qualityRemain current on new developments in GRC technology implementation services capabilities and industry knowledge

Agile

Participate in all aspects of the ServiceNow program and solution delivery utilizing SCRUM (Agile)Participate in Agile ceremonies including Scrum of Scrums, Backlog grooming, and Daily Stand UpsWrite Agile stories (in Jira) providing requirements to the development team for coding; keep Agile stories up to date dailyCode / develop solutions or give guidance to the developerParticipate in Functional and User Acceptance Testing; coordinate testing of stakeholders and cross-process impacting teamsResearch ServiceNow solutions to benefit the ServiceNow implementation; stay current on new releases and available functionality of ServiceNowParticipate in system upgrades

Required Skills/ Knowledge

Work Timings

This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between Hours of engagement 2:00 PM IST to 11:00 PM IST (Flexible/ preferably 4:30 PM IST to 1:30 AM IST). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs). This role requires you to be at the Hyderabad location.
