Network Operations & Support - Firewall & Load Balancer

Experience: 8-10 Years

Location: Chennai/Bangalore

Role Summary:

The Manager – BPN & Firewall provides strategic and technical leadership for enterprise and banking network security programs. This role is accountable for end-to-end IT solution delivery, stakeholder management, and governance of complex, mission-critical security deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

Overall accountability for delivery of network security solutions across banking infrastructure programs

Act as subject matter expert for Next Generation Firewalls and enterprise security architectures

Architect, review, and govern security solutions involving Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Load Balancers, F5, and Proxies

Lead adoption and integration of emerging technologies such as Software Defined Networks (NSX)

Ensure compliance, security hardening, and audit readiness of firewall platforms

Provide leadership for automation initiatives using shell scripting

Manage multiple dependencies, vendors, and senior stakeholders in large-scale deployments

Proactively identify risks, anticipate issues, and recommend strategic solutions

Mentor senior engineers and drive operational excellence

Key Skills & Technology Requirements:

Network Security Architecture & Design

Next Generation Firewalls: FortiGate, Cisco Firepower / ASA

Security Platforms: IDS/IPS, VPN, Proxy, Network Segmentation

Load Balancing & ADC: F5 (LTM / GTM)

Enterprise Network Technologies: Routing, Switching, WAN

Software Defined Networking: VMware NSX (advanced concepts & governance)

Required Skills & Experience:

8+ years of experience in banking or large enterprise infrastructure environments

Extensive expertise in Network Firewalls & Security products (FortiGate, Cisco)

Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-vendor security deployments

Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills

Demonstrated integrity, ownership, and decision-making capability

Any degree or relevant education is must. This role requires working at customer locations based on business needs.
