Location: Autoliv India (AIB), Bangalore

Function: TND Operations

Work Schedule: Shift-Based | 6 Days a Week

Education: Diploma / BE (Mechanical, Automobile, or related discipline)

Experience: 6 to 15 Years

About The Role

Autoliv India is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Executive / Senior Executive - Production to join our manufacturing operations team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in production management, process optimization, lean manufacturing, and team leadership within the automotive industry.

This role is responsible for achieving production, quality, safety, delivery, and cost objectives while driving continuous improvement through the Autoliv Production System (APS).

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations Management

Ensure production teams are effectively resourced and operate according to APS standards.Drive adherence to standard operating procedures and work instructions.Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions as needed.Analyze quality reports and support problem-solving initiatives.Review production status and execute recovery actions.Manage production capacity in line with customer demand and business requirements.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

Drive plant performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity (SQDCP) metrics.Lead productivity improvement and cost optimization initiatives.Support policy deployment and operational excellence projects.Implement Lean Manufacturing, JIT, Jidoka, and Visual Management tools.Conduct line balancing, manpower optimization, and process improvement activities.Develop and maintain Value Stream Mapping (VSM).Participate in FMEA, quality circles, and new process development activities.

Leadership & Team Development

Lead daily production meetings and communicate key plant priorities.Promote a culture aligned with Autoliv values and safety standards.Drive employee engagement, accountability, and performance management.Identify training needs and support employee development initiatives.Foster collaboration across departments and functions.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

Build and maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication.Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational objectives.Support crisis management and resolution of production-related challenges.
