Lead day-to-day automotive Tier 1 production operations with PPC, process, quality, and maintenance, driving Health & Safety, APS (Autoliv Production System), and productivity/cost/delivery targets. AMC Senior Manager: Production – Autoliv Pune

This role is part of Autoliv Inflators India Pvt. Limited – Operations, reporting directly to the Associate Vice President Operations, with responsibility for leading large-scale production operations.

Job Summary

Hands on Experience in Handling Large scale Automotive Tier 1 Production, PPC, Process, Quality and Maintenance. MNC culture exposure is necessary.

Strategic Context and Challenges

Overall responsibility for running the production with particular focus on Health & Safety, APS (Autoliv Production System), Quality, Productivity, Cost and Delivery performance targets and ensures that regulations regarding Labour law, quality and environmental issues are met all times. Communicates performance targets and Autoliv requirements effectively and fully support APS and all related continues improvement activities. Runs department in line with company values.

Key Responsibilities

Day-to-day Activities

Ensure all production teams are effectively resourced and are working to the standard processes defined in the APS system.Optimize the manufacturing and support processes to ensure work instruction process adherence.Analyze and follow up on the quality reports.Prepare budget requirements for investment, costs and expenses based on Production Plan.Recommend or initiate personnel action such as disciplinary and discharge measures.Any other function determined by the company.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

Run the daily production meeting and communicate production status and flag critical issues that need additional support to precedent.Communicate and cooperate with trade unions/committee as needed.Communicate Autoliv group communications to all plant resources.Active communicate with the stakeholders.

Performance & Operations Management

Set targets and priorities to all department in accordance with health and safety, APS Quality, productivity, cost and delivery performance targets (PDD) and in line with Autoliv business plan/objectives.Provide input data for regional and global functions and follow up on monthly controlling reports as provided as required.

Continuous Improvement

Responsible for the implementation and development of the APS.Actively communicate with Autoliv other plant counterparts and common functions understand & implement best practices.

Team Development

Know respect and ensure respect for Autoliv rules and values among all employees of the plant.Define skill profiles and determine training requirements of assigned managers, organize for training (in cooperation with HR-training), evaluate effectiveness of training.Responsible for building one team philosophy and at the same time “one company” approach to ensure collaboration and best practice sharing among locations.

Experience
