Role Description The Event Sales Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Salcette. This position is responsible for generating event business, managing client relationships, and maximizing revenue through the sale of meetings, conferences, banquets, and social events. Day-to-day activities include responding to event inquiries, preparing proposals and contracts, conducting site inspections, and coordinating with operations, banqueting, and front office teams to ensure seamless event delivery. The Event Sales Executive will maintain accurate records in sales systems, prepare forecasts and reports, and support promotional activities and partnership initiatives. The role requires active engagement with the local market, participation in networking events, and consistent follow-up to convert leads into confirmed bookings while upholding Accor’s service and branding standards.
Qualifications
Strong sales and negotiation skills, with experience in event, MICE, or hospitality sales.Client relationship management abilities, including prospecting, networking, and maintaining key accounts.Organizational and coordination skills to handle multiple events, deadlines, and stakeholder expectations.Proficiency in communication and presentation, with clear written and verbal skills in English and local languages.Comfort with hotel sales systems, CRM tools, and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).Knowledge of hospitality or event operations, including banqueting, catering, and conference services.Ability to work on-site, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and maintain a guest-centric approach.Relevant education in hospitality management, business, marketing, or a related field; prior experience in a hotel or resort environment is highly beneficial.
