A mines operations engineer at a cement manufacturing company conducts mine surveying and statutory mine planning using Total Station, DGPS, and drone survey. The role develops digital elevation models, orthomosaics, and block models while coordinating safety and environmental compliance.

Full job description

Critical Competencies

Quarterly & annual survey of Mines Pits & Limestone sweetener yard & stock piles of Limestone, coal & other additives used in cement plant.

Update all statutory plans & sections like surface plan, geological plan & section, production plan, progressive Mine closure plan, conceptual plan & section, environmental plan,

Conduct survey for slope stability of Overburden dumps and limestone stocks.

Coordinates for drone survey of Mines & upload drone data in IBM portal.

Preparation of shape file, KML/KMZ file for submission to IBM & other statutory agencies.

Knowledge of operation of Total Station, GPS, DGPS, drone survey.

Desired Competencies

Knowledge of digital elevation models (DEM), orthomosaics, or high-resolution satellite/drone imagery.

Knowledge of Datamine / Surpac (block model preparation & updation) and SAP.

Knowledge of Khasara & know about superimposing CAD file on Khasara map.

SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) along with Sustainability initiatives & System Compliances : Ensuring 100% compliance of all safety standards and all applicable recommendations related to their concerned area.

Timely conducting scheduled CAPA round and reporting of accidents, incidents and near misses on occurrences in the area of concern in system. To implement improvement project to reduce repetitive problems/breakdown or losses. Timely submission of Kaizen, OPL, Good to fine, suggestion on system. To know about IMS and other systems requirement and documents for non-conformity in section during internal and external audits or assessments
