Role Overview

The Desktop & Network Support Engineer is a highly hands-on role responsible for day-to-day IT, desktop, laptop, hardware, operating system, and basic network support across Unbox Robotics' offices and facilities. You'll work directly with users to troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage IT support tickets end-to-end, perform basic networking activities, and provide on-site support across our Pimpri and Shivne facilities.

This is not a software-only troubleshooting role. The ideal person is proactive, solves problems independently, and is equally comfortable physically inspecting hardware, cables, network equipment, and workstations as they are resolving issues at the desk.

Roles & Responsibilities

Desktop, Laptop & Hardware Support

Provide day-to-day support for desktops, laptops, hardware, and operating systems across offices and facilities

Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, escalating where necessary

Physically inspect and troubleshoot hardware, cables, network equipment, and workstations when required

Set up, configure, and maintain end-user devices and peripherals

IT Ticketing & User Support

Handle IT support tickets from logging through resolution and documentation

Work directly with users to understand, triage, and resolve issues

Maintain a strong ticket-driven mindset — every issue is properly recorded, worked on, resolved, and documented rather than handled informally over calls or messages

Network Support

Perform basic network support and networking activities across sites

Assist with connectivity, network equipment, and related troubleshooting

On-Site & Cross-Facility Support

Provide on-site IT support across Unbox Robotics' offices and facilities

Travel between Pimpri and Shivne facilities as required to deliver hands-on support

Requirements

Must Have

Desktop & laptop support

IT ticketing & user support

Basic network support

On-site IT support

Hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to solve problems independently

Willingness to physically inspect and work with hardware, cables, and network equipment

Good to Have

Experience with MDM / endpoint management solutions

Knowledge of Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 administration

Basic knowledge of endpoint security and antivirus solutions

Experience with asset-management systems

Basic knowledge of VLANs and managed switches

Experience supporting Linux workstations

Experience working in a growing technology / startup environment

Eligible Candidates

Desired Qualification

Any Graduate (non-Engineering graduates welcome)

Work Experience

1–4 years in desktop support, IT support, network support, or a similar hands-on IT role
