Key Responsibilities:

Monitor antivirus systems, analyse alerts, and ensure timely response to threats.

Conduct malware analysis, threat investigations, and coordinate incident response with the Security Operations Center.

Develop and enforce antivirus policies, standards, and best practices in line with organizational security frameworks.

Perform vulnerability assessments and ensure endpoints are compliant with security patches and updates.

Collaborate with IT teams to integrate antivirus solutions with other security tools, such as SIEM, EDR, and endpoint management systems.

Provide technical guidance, training, and support to IT and security teams.

Keep abreast of latest malware trends, vulnerabilities, and antivirus product updates to recommend improvements.

Generate reports on antivirus health, compliance, and threat metrics for management review.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Expertise in antivirus and endpoint security solutions (e.g., SEQRITE, Symantec, McAfee, Trend Micro, CrowdStrike, Sophos, etc.).

Strong understanding of malware types, attack vectors, and mitigation strategies.

Hands-on experience with enterprise antivirus deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, MacOS) and server environments.

Familiarity with security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls).

Experience with SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management tools is a plus.

Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and present technical insights to management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.

Relevant certifications such as CEH, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or vendor-specific antivirus certifications are preferred.
