Assistant Manager - Supply Chain Management

Job Description

Participate in various stages of supply chain processes, in area of procurement/vendor management/logistics/ inventory/quality management to ensure service availability to the customers and at the same time driving cost efficiencies, quality management and timely delivery of orders. This is an operational role which is responsible for delivering results that have direct impact on the achievement of results for projects undertaken as per business requirements.

Responsibilities

The (Services) Category Buyer is responsible for assisting team in planning overseeing all Procurement sourcing, Contracting with customer Supplier along with Billing Invoicing activities -

He / She would be responsible for service procurement for Network IT Procurement, Fiber, Infra, Mobility, Enterprise OM Up-scope and driving various sourcing initiatives to deliver targeted benefits to the business.

He / She would be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement negotiations, order processing and maintaining the supply of required services.

He / She will be responsible for Customer Vendor contract negotiation.

He / She will be responsible for Billing Invoicing.

He/ She would need to engage with internal user teams to understand of new projects / operations requirements and deals.

He/ She would need to plan, manage, and maintain strategic vendor relationships and conduct negotiations of major procurement deals.

He/ She would need to achieve the required level of category performance objectives (aligned with overall SCM objectives) set by the Category Lead - Services and also ensure that daily operations are at par with practices prevailing in the market.

He/ She would need to assess supply and commercial risks and develop mitigation strategies.

He/ She is responsible for adherence to Annual Procurement Plan, achieving objectives of savings and business velocity.

Review procurement volumes by vendor product class/type, thereby, identify areas for Rate Contracts/Frame Contracts, finalize the same.

Engage with internal user teams for understanding requirements of new projects / Operations requirements deals.

Collaborate with key persons including demand delivery manager to ensure clarity of specifications SLAs.

Managing sourcing procurement

Work with vendors /Planning team - to expedite deliveries and support delivery related challenges.

Review logistics to make sure they run smoothly.

Review supply chain inventory and records

Analyze data from delivery processes to find bottlenecks and other issues.

Manage procurement negotiations, order processing and maintaining the supply of required services.

Ensure vendor compliance to Supply Management Policy and Procedures

Minimum qualification experience

Any Bachelors Engineering Degree. preferred.

Experience in supply chain managementrole.

7 - 9 years of procurement experience, preferably from a recognized organization(s) in Telecom, IT, Network or Service industry.

Demonstrated history of applying sourcing levers to deliver cost savings to the organization in areas related to Services, IT,Networks, Corporate Services, Transportation, Managed Services, Passive Infra projects, IT Security Management, AMC, Office interior fit- projects, etc.

Organizational effectiveness, project and change management

Knowledge of supply chain regulation and compliances

Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and in finance (ERP) systems, preferably SAP

Experience on working with e-Sourcing platforms

Experience in developing category strategies, and executing strategic sourcing exercises

Certifications like CIPS / CPSM

Key Responsibilities

Manage the end to end RFI, RFP/RFQ processes, with support from Solutions, Delivery.

Develop evaluation criteria, and evaluate tender responses for Services along with compliances received from Suppliers

Negotiate contracts with suppliers customer (liaise with legal team)

Implement negotiated contracts and monitor contractual compliance

Comply with the Procurement and Supply Chain policies and procedures

Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.

Expertise in Service procurement before on-boarding vendor.

Expertise in contracting management ensuring risk coverage in contract.
