Job Description
As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be part of an Agile software development team responsible for delivering high-quality industrial software solutions. You will work with developers, quality engineers, product owners, and DevOps engineers to develop and maintain the automated test solutions that ensure product reliability and customer satisfaction.
You will report to the Manager, Team Lead, Software Engineering have a hybrid schedule working in Pune, India.
Your Responsibilities
Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web-based applications using Selenium WebDriver, TestCafe, and Java.Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and user story discussions to understand requirements and define test scenarios.Design automated test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.Execute automated test suites and analyze test results.Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution.Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues and improve product quality.Contribute to automation framework enhancements and test suite optimization.Support Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines through automated testing.Review test scripts and participate in peer reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability.Create and maintain test documentation, test cases, and automation reports.Continuously learn new tools, technologies, and testing methodologies.
The Essentials - You Will Have
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.Hands-on experience with:Selenium WebDriverTestCafeJavaTypescriptQ-testUnderstanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and defect lifecycle.Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.Analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners.Work collaboratively within cross-functional Agile teams.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have
5+ years of experience in software testing with a interest in test automation.Exposure to TestNG, JUnit, Maven, or Gradle.Understanding of REST APIs and API testing concepts.Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development practices.Exposure to industrial automation, cloud technologies, or enterprise software products.Passion for software quality and continuous improvement.Willingness to participate in professional development activities to stay current on industry knowledge and adapt to new technologies.Able to work In a collaborative team environment.Customer-focused approach to delivering high-quality software.
