We are seeking a Technical Lead DBA who brings strong hands-on database expertise together with proven technical leadership capabilities.

As a Cognyter, you will:

Provide technical leadership for the design, operation, and evolution of enterprise database platforms.Lead complex database initiatives from architecture and planning through deployment and production support.Mentor engineers and drive technical excellence across the team.Define best practices, standards, automation strategies, and operational processes.Collaborate with Product, Architecture, R&D, DevOps, and customer-facing teams.Lead investigations of critical performance, scalability, availability, and data integrity challenges.Drive technology evaluations, migrations, modernization efforts, and POCs.

Requirements:

Your toolbox

5-7 years of DBA experience in enterprise-scale environments.Proven experience leading projects, mentoring engineers, or acting as a Technical Lead / Team Lead.Deep expertise in database administration, performance tuning, high availability, backup & recovery, and troubleshooting.Strong Linux background and automation mindset.Experience with scripting and development tools (Python, Bash, or similar).Strong experience with SQL ServerHands-on experience with several of the following technologies: PostgreSQL, Greenplum, CockroachDB, ClickHouse, Sybase ASE / IQ, Elasticsearch / OpenSearchExperience with Kubernetes, DevOps processes, and CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins is an advantage.Familiarity with distributed systems and large-scale production environments.
