Full job description

Job Description

You will work with customers, consultants, contractors, OEMs, system integrators, and internal teams to shape architecture, influence specifications, and develop differentiated solutions that improve uptime, efficiency, resilience, safety, and lifecycle value.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Consultative Selling and Business Influence

Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, consultants, contractors, and internal sales teams across mission-critical environments like Data Centers. Drive consultative selling by translating business needs, operational risks, and technical requirements into integrated Honeywell Building Automation solutions. Influence specifications and solution architecture for Security and Fire systems, including access control, video surveillance, perimeter protection systems, identity-driven workflows, integrations and applications, and related mission-critical infrastructure systems. Support account teams in identifying, qualifying, and advancing strategic opportunities in mission-critical environments like Data Centers by developing compelling technical value propositions. Collaborate with sales, product, engineering, estimation, and operations teams to develop technically sound, commercially viable, and customer-centric proposals. Lead customer workshops, technical presentations, and consultant engagements as a Honeywell subject matter expert. Develop and deliver technical demonstrations, proof of concepts, pilot deployments, solution validations, and customer enablement sessions aligned with security use cases and operational needs.

Technical Solutioning for Mission-Critical Environments

Develop integrated Security and Fire solution concepts for mission-critical infrastructure, including access control, video surveillance, perimeter protection systems, command center integration, emergency communication, and integrated security management platforms. Apply domain knowledge of Security and Fire to create scalable, resilient, and maintainable architectures covering physical access control, cards, readers, controllers, supervisory platforms, CCTV and video management systems, IP cameras, NVRs, perimeter protection systems, intercom, emergency communication, and integrated security management platforms. Design security architectures that address zoning, credentialing strategy, camera coverage, recording and retention requirements, alarm prioritization, operator workflows, redundancy, cybersecurity readiness, and integration with building management and fire life safety systems. Define integration approaches across third-party systems using relevant protocols, APIs, SDKs, middleware, databases, and IP networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, PoE, ONVIF, Wiegand, OSDP, and RTSP. Support customers and consultants in defining operational security outcomes such as controlled access, incident response, auditability, situational awareness, regulatory alignment, business continuity, and lifecycle serviceability. Review customer specifications, drawings, sequence of operations, and tender documents to identify solution gaps, risks, optimization opportunities, and Honeywell differentiators. Define solution scope, system architecture, bill of materials guidance, integration approach, and technical assumptions for complex proposals in mission-critical environments like Data Centers. Advise customers on operational outcomes such as uptime, redundancy, energy optimization, alarm management, fault detection, cybersecurity readiness, and lifecycle serviceability.

Collaboration and Technical Influence

Influence stakeholders through technical credibility, structured discovery, persuasive solution positioning, and clear communication. Work with sales, engineering, product, service, operations, and commercial teams to translate requirements into executable solutions.

Support bid strategy, technical compliance, value engineering, and customer clarification responses during pre-sales and proposal stages.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Building Automation, or a related technical field. 12+ years of experience in application engineering, systems sales engineering, solution consulting, pre-sales, or technical solutioning for building automation, mission-critical environments like Data Centers, industrial controls, or critical infrastructure. Strong knowledge of Security and Fire systems, including access control systems, cards, readers, controllers, supervisory platforms, CCTV and video management platforms, IP cameras, NVRs, perimeter protection systems, command center operations, emergency communication, alarm management, system interoperability, and security integration architectures. Hands-on understanding of security system design, deployment, commissioning, diagnostics, troubleshooting, product validation, and integration with enterprise integrations and applications. Experience reviewing technical specifications, designing solution architectures, supporting proposals, and influencing consultant or customer specifications. Proven ability to engage with end users, consultants, contractors, OEMs, and internal stakeholders in complex technical sales cycles. Willingness to travel for customer engagements, consultant meetings, site visits, workshops, and industry events.

WE VALUE
