We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Traction Power Supply Systems – Rail Electrification

You’ll Make a Difference By

Preparation of mechanical design drawings for DC switchgears and cubicles (For Traction Power Supply Systems in the field of Railway Electrification) considering both, the customer specifications and the Siemens’ regulations and international standardsMethodic design of switchgears with the 3D-tool” NX”, modeling of componentsMaintaining of product data/documentations in TeamcenterElaboration of conceptional solutions and finding answers to ambitious constructive requirements Technical support, analysis of technical problems and answering of technical inquiries in collaboration with the manufacturing, the project engineering team, and the project management.Planning and controlling of one’s own engineering work packages in view of date, cost, and quality aspects.Product support in view of standardization and documentation.

You’ll Win Us Over By

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Knowledge of switchgear construction and cubicle/cabinet (sheet metal) construction in rail industryCAD-tools NX or another solid 3D modeling programKnowledge of relevant European and International StandardsBasic knowledge of electrical engineering (schematic and wiring diagrams), electrical componentsKnowledge of engineering processesExperience in project realization, preferably in an international project environmentVerbal and written fluency in English

Desirable

Experience in NX-Teamcenter program or equivalentExperience in switchgear construction and cubicle/cabinet construction in rail industryExperience in project realization, preferably in an international project environment.
