We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Senior Accountant to support the accounting and financial reporting activities of multiple international entities. The role will be responsible for managing month-end close, statutory audits, local compliance requirements, intercompany accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and coordination with external auditors, tax advisors, and global finance teams.

The ideal candidate should possess strong accounting knowledge, experience with multinational operations, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across different countries and time zones.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for assigned international entities.Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and general ledger reconciliations.Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records in accordance with applicable accounting standards (US GAAP, IFRS, FRS 102, or local GAAP).Prepare statutory financial statements and support local filing requirements.Analyze financial results and investigate significant variances.

General Ledger & Reconciliations

Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items timely.Review bank reconciliations and monitor cash balances.Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.Ensure accuracy of intercompany transactions and balances.

Statutory Audit & Compliance

Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.Ensure compliance with local statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.Support implementation of audit recommendations and internal controls.

Tax & Regulatory Support

Assist in preparation of corporate tax, VAT/GST, withholding tax, and other local tax requirements.Coordinate with external tax advisors and internal tax teams.Support tax audits and regulatory inquiries.

Intercompany & Treasury Activities

Manage intercompany billing, loans, settlements, and account reconciliations.Support treasury-related activities including cash management, investment accounting, and foreign exchange transactions.Monitor intercompany agreements and ensure appropriate accounting treatment.

Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes and strengthen controls.Participate in ERP implementations, system upgrades, and automation projects.Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedure documentation.

Business Partnership

Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Payroll, and international business teams.Provide accounting guidance and support to stakeholders.Assist management with ad hoc financial analyses and special projects.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent preferred.5-8+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a multinational organization.Strong understanding of financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end close processes.Experience supporting statutory audits and local compliance requirements.Proficiency in ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, Workday, or similar.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
