We are looking for a SDE Engineer - IXL

We are looking for a Basic design engineer, meeting the need for smart-mobility solutions.

Work assignments:

Execute System & Data Engineering (SDE) activities using PRODIS tool (specialized digital engineering tool built on AutoCAD Civil 3D) and associated processes for railway signalling projects. Responsible for preparation, validation, and management of track layout data and metadata to support downstream engineering tools (IxL, ATC, etc.).Member of Engineering team working on Indian & International rail automation projects, collaborating closely with System Engineering, Design, and Delivery teams.Develop track layouts using PRODIS based on customer inputs (DWG, PDF alignments, BIM/geographical data).Create and maintain SDLTL (Scaled Double Line Track Layout – real track representation) and SRTL / SSP (Schematic Track Layout / Signalling Plan)Ensure all track elements (points, signals, alignments, etc.) are correctly defined, named, and aligned with graphical specifications.Generate and manage PRODIS outputs such as DSSEL (Digital Site Survey Element List – official integration output), SDLTL, SSP and Excel export files for review and data exchange or Backup files for traceability and version control.Ensure metadata consistency as per Engineering Data Model (EDM) for integration with downstream tools (IxL, ATC).Analyse and validate customer input data (CID / IDS) before modelling.Coordinate with stakeholders to clarify missing or inconsistent data.Ensure track layouts comply with Project requirements, Graphical specifications, Agreed naming conventions and modelling rules.Perform internal checks for completeness, correctness, and consistency of layouts and metadata.Participate in Internal design reviews and Interface reviews with IxL / ATC / other subsystems. Support informal and formal reviews using exported data (Excel / DSSEL).Maintain all PRODIS files in ProjectWise or similar document management system with version control and traceability. Ensure timely delivery of Track layouts (SDLTL / SRTL), DSSEL and metadata files and other Supporting documentation.Provide validated PRODIS outputs for Interlocking (IxL) engineering, ATC / ETCS applications. Support design clarification during integration, testing, and commissioning phases.Stay updated with latest PRODIS versions and configurations. Participate in internal/external training programs. Contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing within the team.

You have bachelor’s degree / diploma in engineering, preferably in electrical / electronic engineering preferably with railways specific specialization.Good understanding of AutoCAD (preferred Civil3D) / MicroStation or similar CAD tools for track layout interpretation/modelling.You carry 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in engineering design, preferably in track layout preparation, BIM related activities, Cabinets mechanical design, metro via ducts etc.Having technical understanding of railway systems, especially Track geometry and alignment, Signalling elements (points, signals, routes) is an advantage.Experience in preparation and interpretation of Track layouts (single line, double line, schematic layouts, DWG / PDF alignment drawings and infrastructure inputs is an advantageBasic knowledge of Engineering Data Model (EDM) and interface data exchange concepts, Digital engineering processes and toolchain integration.Familiarity with design workflows, Quality processes, document control, and configuration management.Fluent English essential both written and oral.
