What You’ll Do
Eaton is seeking a Manager, Strategy & Corporate Development team in driving enterprise growth through rigorous financial analysis, valuation, and business case development. The role will support both organic and inorganic growth initiatives, including portfolio analysis, strategic planning, and deal evaluation, and will work closely with global SCD leadership team.
Evaluate enterprise, business-unit, and peer performance through returns, capital allocation, and value creation analyses. Perform financial analyses that support strategic initiatives, organic growth, and M&A decisions, isolating the factors that drive or erode growth, profitability, and capital returns. Build and maintain valuation models, including DCF, trading comparables, sensitivity analysis, and scenario modeling. Develop clear, executive-ready business case presentations that translate analysis into strategic recommendations. Support portfolio strategy by evaluating resource allocation, value creation opportunities, and underperforming areas. Analyze end-markets, competitors, suppliers, and industry trends to support corporate strategy and deal screening. Partner closely with business unit leaders, finance, and corporate development stakeholders to support decision-making and transaction execution. Assist in preparing materials for leadership reviews, investment discussions, and strategic planning cycles.
Qualifications
8-10 years of relevant experience in investment banking, industrial M&A, corporate development, transaction advisory, or a similar finance-intensive role. MBA or equivalent finance-focused qualification preferred.
Skills
Strong command of financial modeling, valuation, accounting, and corporate finance. CFA Level 3 cleared or equivalent. Demonstrated ability to prepare DCF models, valuation analyses, and investment-style business cases. Strong understanding of DuPont analysis, return on capital, and value creation frameworks. Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills, with strong attention to detail and model integrity. Ability to communicate complex financial insights clearly to senior stakeholders. Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, or enterprise environments preferred. Exposure to organic growth strategy, M&A, portfolio management, or enterprise capital allocation. Experience supporting board or executive-level presentations. Strong research capability and comfort working with public and market data. Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
