Director, Product Designer

We are seeking a Director of Product Design to lead and scale our product design function across multiple product lines. This role will be responsible for defining the design vision, UX strategy, and execution excellence, with a strong emphasis on an AI-first design approach.

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of design leadership, product thinking, and operational rigor to drive user-centric innovation at scale. They will partner closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Executive leadership to transform product experiences beyond traditional UI into intelligent, adaptive, and conversational interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

Design Leadership & StrategyDefine and drive the end-to-end design vision and UX strategy aligned with business objectivesEstablish and scale design principles, standards, and best practices across productsOwn the evolution of design systems, accessibility, and usability standardsLead the shift toward AI-first experiences, including intelligent, adaptive, and conversational interfaces Team Leadership & ScalingLead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of Product DesignersBuild a strong, innovation-driven design culture grounded in accountability and collaborationDrive hiring, performance management, and career development for the design organizationPartner with leadership to define the organization structure and capability roadmap Cross-Functional CollaborationCollaborate closely with Engineering, Product Management, QA, and Marketing to deliver impactful experiencesPartner with AI/ML and engineering teams to translate platform capabilities into scalable, user-centered solutionsEnsure seamless alignment across UX, UI, and engineering teams Product Execution & DeliveryOversee the delivery of intuitive, scalable, and high-quality user experiencesDrive consistency through design systems and unified experience guidelinesEnsure solutions are technically feasible, measurable, and aligned with product timelines Customer & Business ImpactLeverage user research, analytics, and feedback to inform design decisionsIdentify opportunities to improve engagement, usability, and conversion metricsContribute to product differentiation and innovation through design excellence Design Operations & GovernanceEstablish and optimize design processes, workflows, and toolsDefine and track design KPIs and UX quality metricsEnsure alignment with accessibility, compliance, and enterprise UX standards

Required Qualifications

15+ years of experience in Product Design / UX Design, with 5+ years in leadership rolesProven experience leading large design teams within product/engineering-driven organizationsStrong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership of complex product experiencesDeep expertise in design systems, enterprise applications, and scalable platformsStrong foundation in user-centered design, interaction design, and visual designProven ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, product, and AI/ML teams
