We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist
In This Role, You Will
Production Support Leadership: Own day-to-day production support outcomes including availability, performance, batch stability, and service level agreement (SLA) adherence.Act as the primary escalation point for complex incidents and cross-team dependencies across engineering, infrastructure, database administrators (DBAs), network, vendors, and business stakeholders.Incident Management (Major Incidents & Restoration): Lead Major Incident (MI) triage, run crisis/bridge calls, coordinate technical teams, and drive service restoration with structured stakeholder communications.Problem Management (Root Cause & Prevention): Own Problem Management for recurring/high-impact issues, leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and tracking preventative actions to reduce repeat incidents.Change & Release Management: Raise and manage production Change Requests (CRs), including risk assessment, rollback plans, implementation steps, approvals and audit trail; coordinate maintenance window releases where required.Batch & Scheduling Operations: Manage and optimise batch scheduling operations using Control‑M, including monitoring, dependency handling, reruns/restarts, calendars and recovery from failures.Monitoring, Automation & Service Improvement: Drive monitoring, automation and service improvement to reduce incidents and mean time to restore (MTTR), enhance observability, and maintain operational documentation (runbooks, playbooks, SOPs, knowledge articles).Ways of Working / Coverage: Participate in a 24x7 on-call rota and provide out-of-hours support during major incidents and planned changes, working flexibly with global teams across time zones.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
Strong hands-on production support experience for critical systems, including real-time troubleshooting and service restoration.Solid IT service management (ITSM) knowledge across Incident, Change and Problem Management with strong governance and risk awareness.Hands-on technical capability across: Oracle (SQL troubleshooting and performance basics), Unix/Linux (process/log analysis and command-line troubleshooting), Control‑M (monitoring and recovery), and broad infrastructure components (middleware, connectivity, certificates, load balancers).Proven ability to lead calmly under pressure with clear communications, strong ownership, and structured documentation for RCA and action tracking.Scripting/automation skills (Shell, Python) and strong SQL capability; familiarity with monitoring/observability tools (e.g., Splunk, Grafana, AppDynamics, ELK or similar).Exposure to DevOps tooling and practices such as Jenkins, Ansible, GitHub, CI/CD and release automation; familiarity with Agile delivery models and improving operability with engineering teams.Prior experience in managing Production Support / Operations, esp. 24*7 model.
