Job Purpose

This role is responsible for managing buying activities for the India Metallic – Forgings category, with an annual buying responsibility of approximately ₹100 Cr. The position will report to the India Metallic Category Manager – Forgings, Machining and Hardware and will manage a high-complexity supplier and part portfolio, ensuring sourcing execution, cost competitiveness, quality deliverables, capacity readiness and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

Manage buying activities for the Forgings category with annual spend responsibility of approximately ₹100 Cr, covering high-complexity suppliers and parts

Support the India Metallic Category Manager – Forgings, Machining and Hardware in deploying sourcing strategy for forging commodities and related supplier segments Lead supplier selection, RFQ management, techno-commercial evaluation, negotiations and contracting for forging parts to deliver cost, quality, capacity and timeline objectives Strengthen the forging sourcing base by developing supplier capability, building capacity, identifying alternate sources and ensuring readiness for current and future CNH India business requirements Work closely with suppliers to address capacity constraints, improve process capability, drive quality improvements and ensure sustainable supply performance Ensure compliance with Purchasing processes, systems, and Delegation of Authority (DoA) Lead annual cost negotiations including YOY productivity, raw material variations, commercial and technical cost reductions in collaboration with cross-functional teams Manage and control material cost drivers including raw material indices, inflation, productivity, and supplier economics

Experience Required

15–20 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing or commodity management within Automotive / Off-highway / Industrial sectors

Strong hands-on experience with forging suppliers, including process capability, capacity planning, tooling, die development, quality systems, cost structures and supplier performance improvement

Pay Transparency

The annual salary for this role is INR ₹2,400,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
