Role Summary: This role is for a Technical Manager / RFIC Designer, based in Pune, India. It combines hands-on RF and analog integrated-circuit design, local technical management, and end-to-end production delivery for advanced CMOS radio productsServe as a hands-on RF/analog IC designer and technical local manager for advanced CMOS radio designs and production delivery.Become part of RFIC design team responsible for design and productization of RF, analog, and mixed-signal circuits. This team will be working closely and as an extension of US / CA design team. Operate as part of one global engineering organization, working closely with local modem, systems, and validation teams from concept through silicon production and product release.Play a key role in establishing and scaling NXP’s RF and analog IC design capability in India while strengthening technical execution and collaboration across the global Connectivity organization specially in US.
Job Responsibility: Perform hands-on design and technical leadership of advanced RF and analog circuits in deep-submicron CMOS, FinFET, and 22FDX technologies.Translate system and product requirements into robust RF and circuit specifications, design plans, and verification strategies.Lead the design and integration of RF, analog, and mixed-signal blocks, including design reviews, simulation methodology, and performance optimization.Guide the physical implementation of critical circuits and drive design iterations based on layout parasitics, EM analysis, reliability requirements, and post-layout verification.Own technical execution from schematic design through tapeout, silicon bring-up, characterization, production qualification, and product release.Recruit, mentor, and develop RF and analog designers while establishing rigorous engineering practices and a culture of technical excellence and accountability.Manage priorities and technical risks to deliver high-quality designs on time.Collaborate closely with US RFIC design teams and local systems, modem, validation, test, product, and applications teams as one integrated organization.Communicate technical status, tradeoffs, risks, and recovery plans clearly to engineering and program leadership.
Job Qualification: Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.At least 10 years of industry experience in RF or analog IC design using deep-submicron CMOS technologies at 40 nm or below.Demonstrated hands-on design and production experience with several of the following: LNA, mixer, power amplifier, PLL, VCO, frequency synthesizer, data converter, filter, or power-management circuitry.Proven track record of completing complex RF or analog designs on schedule and successfully transferring them into production.Strong understanding of high-frequency circuit design, radio architectures, noise, linearity, matching, stability, power, and process-voltage-temperature variation.Experience with layout-sensitive RF design, parasitic extraction, electromagnetic analysis, and silicon debug and characterization.Knowledge of cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, UWB, or other relevant wireless standards and radio requirements.Experience with analog power-management blocks such as LDOs and buck converters.Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, lead technical reviews, make sound design tradeoffs, and resolve complex cross-functional issues.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams, sites, cultures, and time zones.
