About the RoleThe Senior Executive – Business Finance will support the Business Finance function by driving accurate and timely MIS reporting, providing finance support across sales channels, assisting with treasury operations, and ensuring sound accounting practices. The role requires strong analytical ability, comfort working within ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills to translate financial data into actionable business insight. ResponsibilitiesMIS ReportingPrepare and publish periodic (daily/weekly/monthly) MIS reports covering sales, revenue, costs, and profitability for the business.Consolidate data from multiple sources/systems into accurate, decision-ready dashboards and reports for management review.Track key business and financial metrics (KPIs) against budgets/targets and highlight variances with root-cause analysis.Continuously improve MIS templates and reporting processes to reduce turnaround time and improve accuracy.

Sales Channel Finance SupportDevelop working knowledge of the company's different sales channels (e.g., direct/retail, distributor, e-commerce, institutional) and their distinct revenue and cost structures.Partner with sales teams to track channel-wise revenue, margins, incentives/schemes, and collections.Support channel profitability analysis and provide finance inputs for pricing, discounting, and scheme-related decisions.Reconcile channel-wise sales data with accounting records and resolve discrepancies.

TreasuryAssist with day-to-day treasury operations including cash flow tracking, fund positioning, and bank reconciliations.Support preparation of cash flow forecasts and monitor working capital requirements.Coordinate with banks for routine transactions, documentation, and compliance requirements.Assist in monitoring borrowings, deposits, and investment of surplus funds as per company policy.

AccountingApply strong fundamental accounting knowledge to ensure accurate booking of transactions in line with applicable accounting standards.Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and provisions.Assist with ledger scrutiny, reconciliations, and resolution of accounting discrepancies.Support statutory, tax, and internal audit requirements by providing schedules and clarifications.

Excel & Data AnalysisBuild and maintain advanced Excel-based models, trackers, and reports (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, formulas, charts).Ensure high standards of data accuracy, formatting, and presentation in all financial reports.Use Excel to analyze large datasets and generate meaningful business insights for management.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting (B.Com/BBA-Finance); professional certification (CA-Inter/CMA-Inter/MBA-Finance) is an added advantage.1-3 years of relevant experience in business finance, MIS, accounting, or treasury functions (internships/articleship experience considered).

Required SkillsStrong understanding of core accounting principles and financial reporting.Working knowledge of MIS reporting and business finance concepts.Familiarity with sales channel structures and channel-wise financial analysis.Exposure to treasury/cash management concepts.Hands-on comfort with ERP systems is preferable.Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (a must).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Good communication skills to coordinate across sales, accounts, and treasury teams.Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple reporting cycles simultaneously.
