Introduction
The Senior Systems & Solutions Engineer will be a hands-on customer-facing technical leader for the Custom Digital MCU/MPU business. The role will work with customer engineering teams to understand product architectures, identify system requirements, position GF/MIPS processor and mixed-signal capabilities, and translate customer needs into clear product and technology roadmap inputs.
The ideal candidate combines embedded processor systems depth with customer credibility. They should be comfortable discussing real-time control, embedded software, system partitioning, connectivity, safety/security, mixed-signal integration, and application-specific tradeoffs with both customer engineers and internal product/architecture teams.
Key Responsibilities
Engage customer engineering teams to understand product systems, architecture choices, workloads, software stacks, constraints, and roadmap needs.Translate customer needs into clear requirements for MCU/MPU products, processor subsystems, mixed-signal IP, software, safety/security, connectivity, and platform derivatives.Support design-win pursuits with architecture discussions, technical differentiation, competitive comparisons, and customer-specific solution positioning.Develop system-level collateral including block diagrams, requirements matrices, reference architectures, customer use-case notes, and competitive positioning material.Work with product management, silicon architecture, software, and design teams to validate feasibility and prioritize customer-driven roadmap inputs.Own selected vertical coverage such as automotive zonal/SDV, motor drive/robotics, industrial automation, Edge AI, networking/infrastructure, or e-mobility.Provide customer feedback loops to internal teams and help convert market insights into product decisions.Participate in customer workshops, technical reviews, architecture deep-dives, and executive design-win discussions as needed.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of embedded systems, applications engineering, product systems, processor architecture support, customer solutions, or related semiconductor experience.Strong understanding of MCU/MPU product architectures, embedded software, hardware/software partitioning, and customer product requirements.Hands-on experience with one or more of: automotive electronics, industrial automation, robotics/motor control, networking/infrastructure, e-mobility, or Edge AI systems.Ability to communicate effectively with customer engineering teams and internal silicon/software/product teams.Experience creating technical collateral, competitive analysis, architecture recommendations, and requirements documentation.Comfortable working across hardware, software, safety/security, connectivity, and mixed-signal technology domains.Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to explain tradeoffs clearly and crisply.
Preferred Background / Target Talent Pools
Systems, applications, field applications, solutions engineering, or product architecture experience at embedded processor, MCU/MPU, industrial, automotive, or networking semiconductor companies.Experience with real-time operating systems, embedded Linux, AUTOSAR, motor-control software, industrial protocols, TSN, CAN/CAN-FD/CAN-XL, Ethernet, HSM/security, or functional safety.Customer-facing experience with OEMs, Tier-1s, industrial automation companies, robotics/motion-control companies, or networking/infrastructure customers.Ability to travel for customer workshops and internal engineering reviews as required.
