The role is responsible for driving Suzlon’s wind repowering business through market intelligence, strategic planning, financial management, operations and execution, risk management, governance, future sustainability, and people management. It involves establishing Suzlon as a market leader in the Wind Repowering Segment, driving business growth, ensuring regulatory compliance, strengthening industry partnerships, and achieving successful project execution.

ResponsibilitiesKey AccountabilitiesConduct in-depth market research and feasibility studies to evaluate potential opportunities and risks in wind repowering, ensuring data-driven decision-making.Analyze wind repowering market trends, identify emerging opportunities, and assess competitive dynamics to shape strategic planning and maintain Suzlon's leadership in the sector.Prepare and Execute National & Regional business development strategy by collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive growth in repowering projects.Study, analyze, and monitor evolving repowering policies, regulations, and government initiatives related to repowering, assessing their impact on business operations and ensuring strategic alignment.Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key industry players, policymakers, and business stakeholders to strengthen Suzlon's market positioning and foster collaboration.Develop and manage a strong pipeline of leads and prospects, overseeing the sales cycle from initial engagement through contract negotiation and successful closure.Ensure end-to-end coordination with internal stakeholders for execution of repowering projects by respective Project Teams.Drive the Profit & Loss (P&L) function for repowering, ensuring sustainable growth and business expansion.ObjectivesEstablish Suzlon as a market leader in Wind Repowering Segment.Drive business growth and revenue generation through strategic planning and execution.Ensure regulatory compliance and alignment with government policies.Strengthen industry partnerships and stakeholder relationships.Achieve operational excellence and successful project execution.AccountabilityMarket intelligence and feasibility assessments.Strategic business planning and execution.Policy analysis and regulatory compliance.Revenue growth and profitability of repowering projects.Stakeholder management and industry collaborations.Contract management and successful project closures.Strategy & PlanningDevelop a comprehensive Repowering Business Strategy aligned with Suzlon’s business objectives.Identify potential sites and opportunities for repowering based on market research and feasibility studies.Align business operations with emerging trends, policies, and government initiatives.Create a roadmap for scaling repowering projects across regions.Financial ManagementDrive the P&L for the repowering business unit, ensuring revenue growth and cost optimization.Assess financial risks and opportunities in repowering projects.Optimize pricing models, revenue streams, and contract structures.Operations and ExecutionOversee the execution of repowering projects in coordination with the Project Teams.Ensure seamless coordination between internal stakeholders viz. Qualifications & ExpereinceBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering / Renewable Energy /Power / Energy.MBA or equivalent master’s degree preferred.15 to 20 years of experience in renewable energy, business development, or strategic planning.Proven expertise in wind energy projects, business development, and contract management.Strong leadership experience in P&L management and cross-functional coordination.
