What does a successful C++ Developer at Fiserv do?

We are seeking an experienced C++ Developer with strong system design and hands-on development expertise to build, enhance, and optimize high-throughput, low-latency applications. The core platform is developed in C++, requiring deep technical proficiency in high-performance system architecture, along with practical experience in SQL, Git, CI/CD, AWS Cloud, and Kubernetes.

What You'll Do

Design, develop, and maintain C++-based applications, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and performance requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze complex technical challenges, and deliver scalable solutions aligned with business objectives. Contribute to the architecture and development of high-performance, low-latency systems. Conduct code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality, maintainability, performance, and security. Design and implement scalable, reliable, and efficient software solutions using modern C++ development practices. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application and system-level issues to ensure operational stability and reliability. Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to C++ development and the payments domain. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing clear updates on project status, risks, dependencies, and technical decisions. Participate in architecture and design discussions to support the technical evolution of the platform. Support Agile and DevOps practices, including CI/CD automation, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Will Need To Have

5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in C++ development. Experience working in the Payments domain. Strong expertise in developing high-performance, low-latency applications. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and microservices-based architectures. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments. Hands-on experience with unit testing, integration testing, and Test-Driven Development (TDD). Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Proficiency with Git, CI/CD tools, and software development best practices.

What Would Be Great To Have

Experience working in Agile delivery environments. Understanding of application security best practices. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerization technologies.
