About the Role -We are looking for a Senior Manager – Academics & Delivery Management to take ownership of the academic delivery and management of subjects across upGrad's EdTech programs.

Key Responsibilities -1. Subject & Academic Delivery -Own end-to-end delivery of assigned subjects across multiple programs and learner cohorts.Ensure timely and effective completion of the academic calendar, syllabus, lectures, tutorials, projects, and assessments.Ensure faculty delivery is aligned with defined learning objectives and academic standards.Monitor subject-wise delivery performance and identify gaps in content coverage, learner engagement, and academic outcomes.Drive standardization of academic delivery across batches and faculty.Continuously improve pedagogy, delivery formats, learning resources, and academic processes.

2. Faculty & SME Management -Manage and coordinate with a large pool of faculty members, trainers, and subject matter experts.Own faculty onboarding, briefing, scheduling, allocation, and performance management.Set clear expectations around delivery quality, learner engagement, attendance, assessments, and academic discipline.Track faculty performance through learner feedback, academic outcomes, attendance, and quality audits.Conduct periodic faculty reviews and implement improvement plans wherever required.Build a strong network of high-quality academicians and industry practitioners.

3. Academic Planning & Operations -Own academic planning and execution for assigned subjects/programs.Prepare and manage academic calendars, faculty schedules, assessment schedules, and delivery plans.Ensure timely availability of faculty, content, assessments, projects, and learning resources.Identify delivery risks and proactively create mitigation plans.Manage faculty substitutions, schedule changes, academic exceptions, and operational escalations.Develop scalable SOPs and processes for academic delivery.

4. Assessments & Academic Outcomes -Ensure assessments are appropriately designed and aligned with subject learning objectives.Coordinate with faculty and academic/content teams on quizzes, assignments, projects, examinations, and evaluations.Monitor assessment participation, completion, evaluation timelines, and learner performance.Analyse learner performance at subject and cohort levels.Identify low-performing learners/cohorts and work with Student Success teams on academic interventions.Drive initiatives to improve learner outcomes and successful course completion.

5. Learner Experience -Monitor learner feedback and satisfaction at a subject and faculty level.Identify recurring academic pain points and implement corrective actions.Partner with Student Success teams to resolve academic escalations.Track learner engagement, attendance, participation, and completion.Ensure learners receive timely academic support and feedback.Use learner feedback and data to continuously improve subject delivery.

6. Academic Quality Management -Establish and maintain academic quality benchmarks across subjects.Conduct regular quality audits of faculty sessions, content, assessments, and learner experience.Monitor adherence to academic standards and processes.Identify quality gaps and drive corrective and preventive actions.Develop academic governance mechanisms and periodic quality reviews.Ensure consistency in academic experience across different cohorts and programs.

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration -Work closely with Content and Instructional Design teams to improve subject content and learning assets.Partner with Program Management and Operations for seamless execution of academic calendars.Collaborate with Student Success teams on learner interventions and escalations.Work with Product and Technology teams to improve the digital learning experience.Partner with University/Academic stakeholders wherever required.Coordinate with Sales/Admissions teams when academic inputs are required for learner communication and expectation setting.
