Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior IP C++ Developer role based in Pune City. The Senior IP C++ Developer will design, develop, and maintain high-performance C++ software components that support Cognyte’s investigative analytics and intelligence solutions. Responsibilities include implementing networking and IP-related features, optimizing code for scalability and reliability, and integrating with existing system architecture. The role involves collaborating with product managers, architects, and QA teams to translate requirements into robust technical designs, conducting code reviews, and troubleshooting complex issues in production environments. The developer will also contribute to technical documentation, mentor peers, and stay current with best practices in C++, networking, and security-focused software development.

Qualifications

Strong proficiency in modern C++ (e.g., C++11 and above), including object-oriented design and memory management.Experience with IP networking concepts, protocols, and socket programming, preferably in high-throughput or real-time systems.Background in Linux/Unix environments, multithreading, concurrency control, and performance optimization.Ability to design, implement, and maintain large-scale, distributed or server-side applications with focus on reliability and scalability.Familiarity with software engineering practices such as version control (e.g., Git), unit testing, code review, and CI/CD pipelines.Comfort working with complex data structures, algorithms, and analytical problem-solving in security or intelligence-related domains is an advantage.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and mentor less experienced developers.Experience in cybersecurity, intelligence analytics, or mission-critical systems is a plus.
