Lead Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled **Network Engineer with expertise in Wireless Last-Mile technologies and IP networking** to join our Service Planning team. The role will be responsible for designing, planning, developing, and supporting network services across Layer 2/Layer 3, wireless last-mile, and data networks. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of network architecture, protocols, service design, capacity planning, troubleshooting methodologies, and emerging networking technologies. The candidate will work closely with network engineering, operations, OSS, and other cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable, reliable, and technically feasible network solutions.### Major Responsibilities1. Develop **High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level/Detailed Design (LLD), migration plans, and Method of Procedure (MoP) documents for network implementations.2. Develop guidelines and technical requirements for **wireless traffic management and data services**.3. Work closely with L0/L1 network teams to understand **TCL network architecture**, particularly Access Networks** across different geographical locations, and translate these requirements into efficient Layer 2/Layer 3 network designs.4. Perform **capacity planning** and define hardware, bandwidth, and infrastructure requirements; identify capacity shortfalls and initiate capacity augmentation or new hardware requirements.5. Evaluate and analyze emerging **wireless, IP, Ethernet, and data networking technologies and architectures** for potential adoption. 6. Design scalable and resilient network service solutions aligned with **business requirements and strategic technology directives**.7. Translate business and service requirements into **detailed technical service requirements and network specifications**.8. Support services throughout the complete lifecycle, from **service inception and design through testing, validation, deployment, and operational handover**.9. Develop technical specifications and provide engineering support for the development and integration of new and joint network services.10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Network Engineering, Operations, OSS/BSS, Security, and Technology teams, to ensure successful service implementation.11. Provide technical inputs for network modernization, optimization, automation, and service transformation initiatives.### Technical Skills & Competencies1. Strong hands-on knowledge of **Layer 2 switching technologies and protocols**, including VLANs, STP, RSTP, MSTP, and Link Aggregation/LACP.2. Strong understanding of **IP networking and routing protocols**, including Static Routing, OSPF, and BGP.3. Good understanding of **wireless networking technologies and standards**, including IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax and LTE.4. Knowledge of network security concepts and protocols, including **WPA2/WPA3, AES, 802.1X, and RADIUS**.5. Experience in configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting **routers, switches, wireless access points, wireless controllers, and related network infrastructure**.6. Ability to provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to internal engineering/operations teams and external stakeholders.7. Strong capability in preparing and maintaining network design documents, technical specifications, configuration standards, implementation procedures, and troubleshooting guides.8. Ability to evaluate new networking technologies and assess their applicability to existing and future network architectures.9. Basic hands-on experience with virtualization technologies, including VMware/ESXi and virtual machines.10. Knowledge of **Industrial OT Networking and Wired/Wireless Industrial Ethernet technologies**, including: * PROFINET * EtherNet/IP * Modbus TCP11. Knowledge or hands-on experience with **Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)** for network access control, authentication, authorization, and policy-based access.12. Knowledge or hands-on experience with **Cisco Cyber Vision** and Industrial OT network visibility, asset discovery, and security monitoring.13. Understanding of **network segmentation, macro/micro-segmentation, NAC, and security-policy-based network access** would be an advantage.14. Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders and translate business/service requirements into practical technical solutions
