Head - Finance Shared Services India

The role will cover finance processes for Alfa Laval India: General Accounting and audit, fixed assets, Accounts Payable, Concur expense audit, treasury.

Role Description

The role reports directly to CFO India with dotted line to Global Head of Finance Shared Services. Works closely with central finance team on various aspects.

As Head - Finance Shared Services India you will have following key responsibilities:

Success in this role will be measured not only through service delivery excellence but also through demonstrable ownership, simplification, standardization, transformation and governance of finance processes.

The person will lead implementation process of D365 ERP for finance functional areas.

Financial Accounting, Reporting and AuditDeliver timely and accurate monthly reporting. Ensure adherence to and improvement in monthly closing timelines.Strengthen governance and internal controls over financial reporting processes such as manual journals, balance sheet reconciliations, financial reviews.Ensure accurate books of account and compliance with IFRS, local GAAP and group policies.Co-ordination for and timely closure of group audits and statutory audits with continuous improvement. Procure-to-Pay Operations & Accounts PayableLead end-to-end Accounts Payable operations.Drive implementation and user adoption of Medius tool.Ensure full compliance in all processes including TDS, GST, IDPMS, MTTDrive payment cycle effectiveness and working capital visibility. Concur & Employee Expense GovernanceMonitor compliance with travel and expense policies. Drive zero tolerance.Implement controls and exception reporting. Treasury and cash managementEnsure optimum investment of funds as per treasury policyEnsure close alignment with central treasury teamTrack and project cash flow - ensure availability of funds as requiredBe central point of contact for relationships with bankers and NBFCs. Lead co-ordination with banks for aspects such as RBI approvals (where required), EDPMS, IDPMS, MTT transactions closure.Update list of bank signatories on regular basis – keep signatory list current. ERP Transformation LeadershipAct as Finance Process Owner for ERP implementation till go live and beyond.Lead process harmonization and future-state finance design as per global template.Drive process transformation required for new ERPDrive user adoption and post-go-live stabilization. Process Excellence, Automation & DigitizationDrive implementation of global initiatives such as tools, processes in India.Drive simplification, standardization, transformation and governance.Implement automation and digitization projects.Minimize non-value-added activities and manual interventions.Define, measure and ensure adherence to KPIs and SLAs including quality, timeliness, productivity, compliance, cost efficiency. Internal Controls & Risk ManagementDrive a strong control culture. Strengthen preventive and detective finance controls.Close all audit issues timely and implement sustainable actions to prevent recurrence.Map end-to-end processes and ensure all risk areas are appropriately mitigated.Ensure strict adherence to all applicable policies, processes and authority matrixEnsure appropriate backup documents, approvals, audit trail is available, retained and accessible easily. Eliminate person-dependence to retrieve records. Stakeholder Management & Service DeliveryPartner with business finance teams and leadership.Collaborate with internal stakeholders across all teams - global and local as well as external stakeholders such as auditors, banks, other service providers.Manage stakeholder expectations through service-level agreements. People Leadership & Capability DevelopmentBuild, coach and develop a high-performing finance shared services team.Establish cross-training and succession plans.Promote accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

To contribute effectively to our business, you will require these essential skills -

Qualified Chartered Account15-20 years of experience, at least 5 years in leadership roleProficient in accounting (IFRS, India GAAP) and strong process knowledgeWorking knowledge of India company law and taxation lawsHands-on experience with statutory audit and financial reportingExperience of leading shared service organization is recommendedPreferred experience: ERP implementation, process improvement, working in a matrix MNC
