About the Role
Job Summery The Data Engineer will contribute to ENGIE's Group Data & Intelligence Platform (DIP) Program, building scalable and governed data products on AWS and Databricks. The role involves developing end-to-end data pipelines, implementing DataOps best practices, and supporting global data initiatives in collaboration with teams across France and India. The candidate will work in an Agile environment, delivering high-quality data solutions that drive business value and reusability.
Responsibilities
Key ResponsibilitiesA. Data Product Delivery – DIP ProgramContribute to the delivery of data products within the scope of the Group DIP program, in line with its roadmap and priorities.Build end-to-end data pipelines and products on the Group platform (AWS, Databricks).Ingest data from multiple sources, including business systems, applications, and SharePoint.Implement data storage, transformation, quality, and consumption layers.Ensure alignment with the technical and governance standards of the Group Data Platform.Implement data quality, validation, reconciliation, and testing practices across data products and pipelines.
B. DIP Use Case ExecutionTake ownership of concrete use cases identified within the DIP program's scope.Contribute specifically to data products related to the organizational referential (EGOR) and the internal needs of Group Digital & IT.Support the upskilling of GBUs by delivering structured and well-documented data assets.
C. Industrialization & ReusabilityDesign reusable technical templates to accelerate the delivery of future DIP data products.Apply DataOps practices and ensure the production readiness of delivered solutions.Contribute to the evolution of platform standards and patterns within the program's framework.
D. Collaboration & Agile DeliveryWork in close coordination with Product Owners, platform teams, and the Data Office, and the France-based team in a global delivery model.Operate in an Agile mode, participating in sprints, ceremonies, reviews, and a continuous improvement process.
Qualifications
Qualifications - bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
