Assistant Store Manager

Responsible for end-to-end store operations with a strong focus on customer experience, sales execution, and operational discipline. The role requires comfort around pets, hands-on involvement on the floor, and ownership of inventory, spa coordination, and local deliveries.Key Responsibilities1. Customer Experience & SalesDeliver high-quality in-store experience; engage pet parents with relevant product guidanceDrive conversion, upselling, and cross-selling across food, treats, grooming, and accessoriesHandle customer queries, complaints, and service recovery independentlyBuild repeat customer relationships and support retention initiatives2. Store OperationsEnsure daily store readiness: opening/closing checks, VM standards, hygiene, and product displayMonitor billing accuracy, cash handling, and basic reportingSupport execution of campaigns, in-store events, and promotions3. Inventory ManagementManage stock levels, replenishment planning, and ordering from central warehouse/vendorsConduct regular audits and ensure minimal shrinkage/expiry lossesTrack fast-moving SKUs and ensure availability of key products4. Spa CoordinationManage grooming/spa appointment bookings and schedulesCoordinate with groomers for smooth service deliveryEnsure hygiene, safety, and customer satisfaction for all spa services5. Home Delivery & Local OperationsCoordinate and track local deliveries from storeEnsure timely dispatch, order accuracy, and customer communicationHandle basic logistics coordination with delivery personnel6. Team SupportAssist Store Manager in staff supervision and shift planningTrain team members on customer handling and product knowledgeMaintain discipline and ensure adherence to SOPsCandidate Profile2–4 years of experience in retail/store operations (pet industry preferred but not mandatory)Strong customer service orientation and communication skillsComfortable handling and interacting with petsBasic understanding of inventory management and retail metricsAbility to multitask across sales, operations, and coordination rolesLocation: PUNEType: Full-time, on-site
