The individual in this role supports the Café Manager in overseeing daily café operations, ensuring a consistently welcoming atmosphere and high-quality customer service. Key responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating shift schedules, monitoring food and beverage preparation standards, and maintaining hygiene and safety compliance. The Assistant Café Manager helps manage inventory, supports sales and promotional activities, handles customer queries and feedback, and assists with cash handling and basic reporting. This role requires active engagement on the café floor, guiding the team to deliver efficient service and a positive guest experience.Qualifications Strong Customer Service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and resolving concerns promptly.Effective Communication abilities for interacting with guests, guiding team members, and coordinating with management.Knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, including product quality standards and café menu offerings.Experience in Food Service, covering order handling, service speed, cleanliness, and safety practices.Sales skills to support upselling, promotions, and achievement of revenue targets.Prior experience in café, restaurant, or retail supervision is preferred.Ability to lead and motivate diverse teams, with strong organizational and time management skills.Basic understanding of inventory control and cash handling procedures.Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.Diploma or degree in hospitality, retail management, or a related field is an advantage.
