The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the bank's gold loan portfolio by providing precise appraisals that mitigate risk and enhance customer trust. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic financial services environment.

Responsibilities:-

Conduct thorough physical inspection and verification of gold items submitted as collateral for loan processing.Accurately assess the purity, weight, and market value of gold assets using standardized testing methods and tools.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current gold market prices and trends to ensure precise valuation.Prepare detailed appraisal reports and documentation in compliance with the bank’s policies and regulatory requirements.Collaborate with loan officers and operations teams to facilitate smooth processing of gold-backed loans.Identify and report any discrepancies, counterfeit items, or potential fraud related to gold collateral.Ensure adherence to safety and security protocols during the handling and storage of gold items.Participate in periodic audits and quality checks to maintain appraisal accuracy and operational integrity.Provide training and guidance to junior staff on gold appraisal techniques and compliance standards.Continuously update professional knowledge through industry seminars, workshops, and certifications relevant to gold appraisal and financial services.
