Join our Supplier Quality Management (SQM) team in Goa and help shape quality excellence across our global supply chain. In this role, you will ensure the qualification, approval, and continuous improvement of mechanical components and supplier manufacturing processes supporting Siemens Process Automation products and solutions. Working closely with suppliers, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and international SQM teams, you will contribute to quality from early development through serial production.

Your Role

As a Supplier Quality Engineer – Mechanical Components, you will drive component qualification, supplier development, and quality improvement activities across a global supplier network. You will support new product introductions, validate supplier capabilities, and ensure that mechanical components meet Siemens quality, reliability, and compliance requirements.

What You Will Do

Manage component qualification and approval activities according to Siemens standards and procedures.Evaluate components through testing, validation, specification reviews, and technical assessments.Drive APQP and PPAP activities with suppliers and ensure robust production readiness.Conduct supplier audits and support supplier development initiatives.Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous quality improvements.Support Strategic Procurement in supplier selection and qualification activities.Collaborate with engineering teams during new product development, design reviews, and manufacturability assessments.Apply DFMA principles and support early supplier involvement in development projects.Review tooling concepts, qualification results, and manufacturing process capabilities for mechanical (e.g. plastic) components.Support resolution of component-related production and field quality issues.

What You Bring

Diploma in Tool & Die Making or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.3+ years of experience in Supplier Quality Management, Component Engineering, or Quality Assurance.Strong knowledge of mechanical components and manufacturing processes, especially plastics and sheet metal.Experience in component qualification, testing, validation, and failure analysis.Knowledge of supplier audits and ISO 9001. VDA 6.3 experience is an advantage.Experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorksStrong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.Fluency in English; local language is a plus
