Role: Executive EHS

Purpose of The role : This role is responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring the EHS policy and procedures for the Unit and adopting high standards and best practices in all aspects of the unit’s operations, educating and building awareness and complying with applicable legislations, statutory and regulatory requirements with the objective of improving the Unit's Environment, Health and Safety performance

Qualification: B. Tech/BE (Chemical & Mechanical - Preferred/B.Sc- ADIS (Mandatory)/ Any Qualification/Certification in Environment.

Experience: 2- 5 years of overall relevant manufacturing operations experience.

Knowledge & skills:

In-depth Knowledge of manufacturing operations and EHS implications

Knowledge of statutory compliance norms on EHS

Good understanding of EHS systems, processes, mechanisms•

Strong working experience in ISO Systems, work permit system, LOTO, M/c Guarding, WAH

BBS Observations, Process safety

Knowledge of ETP and Waste management would be added advantage

Good Communication and Influencing Skills

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

1. Planning:

•Implement operationally the laid down EHS principles, standards and guidelines procedures in the Unit

•Assist in EHS Governance through Systems & Procedures implementation in the unit

•Provide real time information to facilitate policy/strategy formulation/ updation

•Monitor implementation of EHS KPIs and EHS performance at unit level

•Be the Interface between Corporate EHS representatives & Regional/ Unit Management for safety related matters

2. Communication:

• Communicate the laid down EHS principles, standards, guidelines procedures to all personnel in the Unit

• Co-ordinate periodic EHS Meetings (monthly) , Management Reviews and provide guidance for EHS Statutory Approval & Compliance

• Conduct EHS Training for all personnel in the unit.

3. EHS Performance:

• Conduct needs based Environment, Safety and Fire audits for the unit

• Plan, implement and monitor corrective actions in the unit

• Ensure serious Accidents are reported & investigated with root cause analysis

• Experience in ETP and Waste management would be added advantage

4. Reporting:

• Consolidate MIS on Accidents, Safety & Environment Performance to Unit Management to facilitate corrective

actions/ decisions

• Develop inputs for Environment & Safety Promotional activities
