About Khan Academy India

Khan Academy India aims to deliver a world-class user experience to learners in India that is locally relevant and is enabled by a strong on-the-ground team and operations. Our learning system is mastery-based, which allows students to master key concepts at a pace that’s right for them before moving on to more challenging content. From serving under 500,000 learners in 2016, we are now serving almost 10 million learners a month across our websites, apps and youtube channels. These learners include both independent learners accessing us at home and teacher directed learners in schools. Our focus is to reach the underserved by making our content accessible in local languages and by working with large public school systems. Khan Academy is already available in English, Assamese, Hindi, Hinglish, Odia, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu and Punjabi.

About The India Schools Team

In line with our focus to reach the underserved, we partner with government school systems to improve student learning outcomes by enabling teachers and students to optimally utilize the tools and resources on the Khan Academy platform. From our government partnerships, we have reached 2 million learners this last year, partnering with 65,000+ schools across various states. Our goal is to expand our scale to reach over five million learners in five years.

The Schools Team works in a lean and collaborative way with our partners, developing strong implementation plans and providing support at every step of the way. Specifically, the team supports teachers and administrators through training and resources, and enabling peer-to-peer sharing. We learn and constantly iterate by gathering feedback and through data-backed insights and efficacy studies.

About The Role

Khan Academy India’s Schools Team is looking for motivated individuals to join our Odisha Team as District Coordinators to support implementation of the Khan Academy programme in government schools across different districts in Odisha. In this role, you will work closely with school management, and teachers to ensure effective adoption and usage of the Khan Academy platform. You will report to the Senior Program Lead and play a key role in on-ground execution and support.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Be To

Support programme implementation at the district levelSupport rollout and implementation of the Khan Academy programme across all assigned schools in the districtsAssist in conducting teacher trainings and orientations (online and offline)Ensure follow-up with schools to drive consistent and effective platform usageTrack progress against defined goals and flag gaps in implementation Work closely with district stakeholdersBuild and maintain working relationships with District Education Officers (DEOs), Headmasters, and teachersAct as a key point of contact for school-level coordinationSupport school management in planning, reviewing, and strengthening programme implementation Drive strong on-ground implementation through intensive school visitsVisit all assigned schools on a weekly basis to ensure consistent and high-quality implementation of the Khan Academy programmeObserve classroom usage and support teachers in effectively integrating Khan Academy into daily teaching practicesIdentify gaps in adoption, usage, or understanding and take timely corrective actionsBuild strong relationships with school leaders and teachers to drive ownership and accountabilityEnsure that agreed implementation practices are consistently followed across all schools Gather insights and support data-driven decisionsCollect and track usage data and feedback from schools on a regular basisShare structured updates and key insights with the central teamIdentify trends, challenges, and opportunities to improve programme effectiveness Documentation and coordinationMaintain records of trainings, school visits, and stakeholder meetings in a structured formatEnsure timely and accurate reporting of all key activitiesCoordinate with internal teams to support programme needs and resolve on-ground challenges Support overall programme operationsAssist with any additional tasks required for successful school-level implementationContribute to improving processes based on on-ground learnings and feedback

About You

You would be a great fit for the role if you are:

Someone with 2–4 years of relevant work experience. Having been an educator or having worked with government schools in Odisha is an added advantage.Fluent in Odia and English (reading, speaking, and writing)Someone with a strong collaborative mindset with an ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders including district officials, school leaders, and teachersAble to navigate through on-ground implementation challenges and make informed decisions aligned with programme goalsSomeone with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a variety of tasks across multiple schools simultaneouslySomeone with an excellent ability to document information from multiple sources and present it in a consumable format for othersComfortable working with data – you are able to track usage, identify trends, and draw insights to improve implementation. You are also comfortable using qualitative feedback to inform actionsA great communicator – you can engage effectively with different audiences including teachers and government stakeholders, and communicate clearly across formatsA quick learner – you immerse yourself in new environments and quickly get up to speedSomeone with an ownership mindset and a bias toward action, with a willingness to solve problems on the groundWilling to roll up your sleeves and help the team get work done as we growPassionate about education and have a strong desire to improve student learning outcomesComfortable being based out of Nabarangpur/Keonjhar districts in Odisha and traveling extensively to visit all assigned schools on a weekly basis
