Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Commis I - South Indian to join our culinary team in Mysuru, India. As an entry-level kitchen commis, you will work under the guidance of senior chefs to prepare authentic South Indian cuisine while developing your culinary skills and understanding of traditional cooking techniques. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow within a professional kitchen environment while contributing to the preparation of high-quality dishes.
Prepare and execute South Indian dishes according to established recipes and culinary standardsPerform mise en place activities, including washing, peeling, chopping, and organizing ingredients for efficient kitchen operationsOperate kitchen equipment safely and maintain cleanliness of assigned workstationsAssist senior chefs with food preparation, cooking, and plating of South Indian specialtiesFollow food safety and hygiene protocols to maintain the highest standards of food quality and safetyCollaborate with kitchen team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely service deliveryMonitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure consistency and quality of prepared dishesReceive feedback from senior chefs and continuously improve culinary techniques and efficiencySupport inventory management by reporting on ingredient usage and availabilityMaintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment at all times
