The role
A security manager role at Adani Group (utilities/industrial security) leading overall plant security operations including access control, surveillance, patrolling, perimeter protection, and material movement monitoring. You will develop and implement security SOPs and escalation mechanisms, oversee CCTV systems, access control systems, boom barriers, and RFID-based surveillance tools, and lead incident management, investigations, and root cause analysis for theft or breaches. Requires 10–15 years of plant/industrial security operations experience (preferably manufacturing), plus compliance with industrial security standards, local laws, and BCAS guidelines (if applicable), and coordination with law enforcement, contractors/guards, and internal stakeholders (Plant Head, Operations, EHS, HR, Stores, Logistics). Based in Mundra, Gujarat, India, on-site (plant/remote location).

Security Operations ManagementLead overall plant security operations, including access control, surveillance, patrolling, perimeter protection, and material movement monitoringEnsure 24x7 security coverage through effective shift planning and workforce deploymentDevelop and implement security SOPs, protocols, and escalation mechanismsSafeguard high-value manufacturing equipment, raw materials (cells/modules), and finished inventoryPrevent theft, pilferage, and unauthorized access within plant premisesEnsure security integration across warehouse, production, utilities, and logistics areasConduct periodic risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and security auditsEnsure compliance with industrial security standards, local laws, BCAS guidelines (if applicable), and internal audit requirementsDrive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for identified risksOversee CCTV systems, access control systems, boom barriers, RFID and other surveillance toolsDrive digital transformation in plant security (AI-enabled surveillance, analytics, etc.)Ensure uptime, monitoring, and continuous improvement of security technologiesLead incident response, investigation, and root cause analysis for theft, breach, safety/security lapsesCoordinate with local law enforcement authorities when requiredMaintain proper documentation, reporting, and escalation to leadershipManage third-party security agencies and guards deployed at plantEnsure training, discipline, and performance monitoring of security workforceOptimize manpower deployment for cost and efficiencyCollaborate with Plant Head, Operations, EHS, HR, Stores, and Logistics for integrated security governanceSupport HR in employee verification, visitor management, and compliance controlsDevelop and execute emergency response plans (ERP) for fire, intrusion, sabotage, or natural disastersConduct mock drills and ensure preparedness across teams
Qualifications
Graduate / Postgraduate (preferred in Security / Industrial Management / Defence background)10–15 years of experience in plant/industrial security operations, preferably in manufacturing (solar, metals, heavy engineering, etc.)Prior experience in handling large-scale plant security at remote locations (like Mundra)Ex-Army / Paramilitary / Police background preferred
