Title: Sr. Business Development Executive / Manager – SalesQualification: B.Sc., MBA, M.Sc., or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Food Technology, Polymer Science, or a related fieldExperience: 5–10 yearsJob Location: West Region – Mumbai / Ahmedabad / PunePosition SummaryThe role will focus on identifying new customers, developing new market opportunities, expanding existing accounts, and driving revenue growth through strategic sales and business development initiatives.The ideal candidate should possess strong techno-commercial skills and relevant experience in industries such as Medical Devices, Inks, Dairy, Food & Beverage (F&B), Breweries, or related sectors. Experience in selling laboratory consumables and managing distribution networks will be an added advantage.Key Responsibilities1. Sales ManagementDevelop and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual sales plans for the assigned territory.Achieve regional sales targets and business growth objectives.Drive sales planning, forecasting, budgeting, and NOD management.Implement sales and marketing strategies to maximize market penetration across the assigned region.Prepare and present weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports.Lead commercial discussions and negotiations with customers and channel partners.Ensure timely payment collection and maintain healthy receivables.Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including R&D, Process Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Quality teams.Drive conversion opportunities from competitor products to company offerings.Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and develop long-term business partnerships.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (CFT) within the organization.2. Distributor ManagementDrive business growth through existing distributor networks.Identify, evaluate, appoint, and develop new distributors in the assigned territory.Conduct regular distributor performance reviews and implement business growth initiatives.Support distributors through product training, sales planning, and joint customer visits.Strengthen distributor engagement to improve market coverage and customer reach.3. Business Development & Market IntelligenceIdentify and develop new customers, applications, and market opportunities within the assigned territory.Expand business through new customer acquisition and penetration into new market segments.Generate revenue through new products, applications, and emerging customer requirements.Promote value-based selling and develop solution-oriented customer engagement strategies.Coordinate customer product evaluations, trials, and validation activities.Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, product portfolios, and market developments.Gather and analyze market intelligence to support business planning and strategic decision-making.Desired Skills & CompetenciesStrong customer-centric approach.Proven expertise in distribution networking, management, and development.Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.Strong analytical and market intelligence capabilities.Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.Proficiency in Sales Force/CRM systems and MS Office.Strong techno-commercial understanding with the ability to translate customer requirements into business opportunities.
