We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the Payments Product Team at Global Payments Solution, HSBC India.

Grade : Vice President – Band 4; Team lead for Cross Border remittancesExperience : 12-15 Years hands on experience in the cross border trade/remittances spaceEducational Qualifications : A master’s degree or equivalent (MBA preferred) from a reputed university , Certified in Foreign exchange operations by reputed organizations like FEDAI

Job Introduction

We are seeking an experienced individual who has hands-on experience in designing and commercializing products and services for our corporate clientele. Candidates who have operational experience alongside interaction with customers are also welcome to apply.The individual should have expert level knowledge of the regulations governing Cross Border Products and Digital/Payment regulations as relevant in India. Working knowledge of regulations in other jurisdictions (including GIFT) will be an added advantage,The individual must have a working level knowledge on the operations and practical nuances (including but not restricted to system interfaces and account structures) of cross border transactions.Preferably well networked in the cross-border payments ecosystem and should be able to collaborate with key network participants in the payments’ ecosystem, including Banks, Fintechs and RegulatorsBeing a team leader position, it would be preferable if the candidate has hands on experience in leading high performance teams both direct and indirect.

Responsibilities

Driving the P&L for the product function to the extent of business emanating from cross border products and services within the remit of Global Payments SolutionsResponsible for driving and monitoring Fee Income and current account balances through flows/ volumes for inward and outward remittances.Liaising with key legal and compliance teams, external and internal, to ensure all related master circulars/ Directions and FEMA guidelines are being adhered to.Creating/ Co creating solutions with key clients in close consultation with the regulator.Working with operations and other internal stakeholders like Sales, Coverage, Services and Implementation teams to simplify/digitize/Automate processes, Drive product penetration among clients, improve success rates etc.Representing the unit in reviews from an Internal/external audit, compliance and internal controls perspective.

Pro Tip: Familiarity with AI-enabled tools is an advantage.

Mandatory to successfully complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post-course assessment, as required.
