About the RoleIDFC FIRST Bank is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Finance Analyst to join its Corporate Function within the Finance department. Based in Mumbai, this role plays a critical part in delivering financial insights, analytics, and decision support across the Banking verticals.The incumbent will partner closely with business leadership and senior stakeholders to drive financial performance, improve cost efficiency, and support strategic initiatives through robust financial reporting and analysis.

Key ResponsibilitiesPrimary ResponsibilitiesManage end-to-end business finance activities for Retail Banking Products.Prepare and review monthly product-level financials, MIS reports, and management dashboards.Perform detailed cost and variance analysis, highlighting deviations against budgets and forecasts.Support the budgeting, forecasting, and planning cycles, including submissions and revisions.Track key business and financial drivers; analyze trends, risks, and opportunities, and present insights to senior management.Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial data and reports for internal stakeholders.Address finance-related queries and issues efficiently, ensuring effective stakeholder support.Secondary ResponsibilitiesSupport automation and digitization initiatives to streamline manual processes and improve efficiency.Maintain MIS parameters and ensure adherence to defined reporting standards and guidelines.Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational excellence.Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to leverage synergies and share best practices.Stay updated on industry developments, global market trends, and competitor strategies relevant to Retail and Consumer Banking.Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and shared ownership within the finance team.

What We Are Looking ForEducationChartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance from a reputed institution.ExperienceMinimum 5 years of relevant experience in Business Finance, FP&A, or a similar role.Prior experience in the banking or financial services industry is preferred.Exposure to consumer/retail banking products is highly desirable.Skills & CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with hands-on proficiency in MS tools such as Power BI, Power Pivot, and advanced Excel.Comfortable working with data analytics, automation tools, and emerging AI-driven finance solutions.Excellent understanding of financial reporting, MIS, budgeting, and forecasting.Strong knowledge of banking operations and financial performance metrics.Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey insights to senior leadership.Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Experience with finance automation or digital transformation initiatives will be an added advantage.
