About the Role

The Policy Manager– secured loan will be responsible for developing and implementing credit policies for secured lending loans within the Retail Banking business. Based in Mumbai, the role involves ensuring seamless system integration of policies, training underwriting teams, and conducting regular portfolio reviews. The role also includes presenting portfolio health updates to senior management and using competitive insights to enhance the product suite.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

Develop and implement loan policies for secured and unsecured products.Ensure flawless integration and system enhancements for effective policy implementation.Provide training to underwriting teams on new policies to ensure accurate and consistent execution.Conduct monthly portfolio analysis to monitor asset quality and performance.Actively track and manage Net Credit Losses (NCL) for assigned products.Present monthly updates to senior management on portfolio health and risk trends.Perform regular competitive benchmarking to refine and enhance the product suite.Translate insights from portfolio performance into actionable policy updates.

Secondary Responsibilities

Recommend improvements to risk-related processes and policies to enhance operational efficiency and risk coverage.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure cohesive execution of risk strategies.Contribute to the development of a risk-aware culture across the organization.

What We Are Looking For

Education

Graduation: Full time graduate in any discipline from a recognised institution.Post-graduation: MBA from a recognised institution.

Experience

Minimum of 4 years of experience in credit policy formulation and implementation, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.

Skills and Attributes

Strong understanding of retail banking products and risk frameworks.Proven ability to define and implement risk appetite and policy structures.Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.Experience in managing regulatory compliance and internal controls.Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive technological enhancements.
