Reconciliation Executive

About the job:We are looking for a Reconciliation Executive to own the end-to-end reconciliation cycle across our university and partner accounts. The role covers invoice raising, bank and payment reconciliation, tracking receivables, following up with universities on outstanding payments, and resolving discrepancies with Finance, BI, and Business teams. This is a hands-on, data-heavy role suited to someone who is strong with Excel or Google Sheets and comfortable presenting findings clearly to multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Generate invoices and perform end-to-end reconciliation of partner, university, and student accounts.

2. Perform bank reconciliation and match receipts against invoices, bookings, and payouts.

3. Maintain reconciliation trackers with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.

4. Track outstanding receivables and follow up directly with universities and partners for payment closure.

5. Identify, investigate, and report discrepancies in invoices, payments, and commission calculations.

6. Work cross-functionally with Finance, BI, and Business teams to resolve reconciliation issues and close open items.

7. Analyse large datasets in Excel or Google Sheets and present findings in a structured, decision-ready format.

8. Prepare periodic reconciliation summaries, ageing reports, and status dashboards for leadership.

9. Support Finance and BI teams in validating data flowing between CRM, billing, and reporting systems.

10. Ensure documentation, records, and audit trails are complete and up to date.

11. Follow defined SOPs, meet closing timelines, and suggest process improvements to reduce manual effort.

Other Requirements:1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in reconciliation, accounts receivable, billing, or finance operations.2. Hands-on experience with data reconciliation and bank reconciliation; experience raising invoices in a B2B or B2C setup is strongly preferred.3. Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, pivot tables, conditional formatting, SUMIFS/COUNTIFS, data validation, and large-dataset handling.4. Ability to structure and present findings clearly, with a logical narrative rather than raw data dumps.5. Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders across Finance, BI, and Business teams.6. Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy, with the ability to work with high transaction volumes.7. Good verbal and written communication skills for direct follow-ups with universities and partners.8. Ownership mindset, with the ability to work to deadlines and operate comfortably in a fast-moving environment.9. Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
