Technology and data are the backbone for us to disrupt this industry and build the most loved experiences for customers.The Role We are on the lookout for a Lead QA who is passionate about using technology to solve known and unknown business and customer use cases. We want someone who can look at a business problem from the end user's perspective, believes in building and delivering quality products, and can lead others to do the same.In this role, you will own end-to-end quality for backend and integration services that have no user interface. Around 60–70% of the work involves validating system behaviour through logs and monitoring tools. You will analyse application logs in ELK to confirm that the correct API calls are happening with the right payloads and sequencing, trace requests across microservices using Datadog APM, and debug issues in services hosted on AWS. You will be responsible for test strategy, planning and release sign-off. You will also test third-party integrations for contract correctness, data consistency, retries, timeouts and failure scenarios, prepare regression and sanity suites, and run Linux commands and write SQL queries to verify logs, production issues and data.On the automation side, you will contribute to, scale and improve our existing API automation frameworks (Java, RestAssured), and design new frameworks from scratch when needed. You should have hands-on knowledge of Jenkins and Docker to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines, and be able to plan and run performance tests using JMeter or similar tools. As a lead, you will mentor and guide QA engineers, review their test plans and automation code, define and report quality metrics, and drive adoption of AI-assisted testing practices. We expect you to be a strong problem solver and an out-of-the-box thinker.Exposure to common technologies such as web technologies, caching, queuing, databases (SQL), storage systems, monitoring tools and cloud technologies is also helpful.You will work closely with the Product and Engineering teams and will report to the Engineering Manager – QA.The Rebel Culture We believe in empowering and growing people to perform the best at their job functions.
