Position OverviewReporting to: Vice President - ProcurementLocation: The Leela Corporate Office, MumbaiThe Manager / Senior Manager – Procurement & Contracts (Civil) will be responsible for managing procurement and contracting activities related to civil and interior works across project developments. This role involves leading the procurement lifecycle for construction packages, evaluating technical and commercial requirements, managing contract finalization, and ensuring adherence to contractual, regulatory, and project requirements.
The incumbent will work closely with project teams, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to support the successful delivery of project procurement objectives. The role requires strong expertise in contract management, commercial negotiations, technical evaluation of civil and interior packages, and a thorough understanding of construction industry practices and standards.
Responsibilities:Procurement & Contract FinalizationLead procurement and contract finalization activities for moderate-value civil and interior work packages.Manage sourcing, bid evaluation, commercial discussions, and award recommendations for project-related procurement requirements.Review technical and commercial submissions to ensure alignment with project objectives and contractual requirements.Support the preparation, negotiation, execution, and administration of contracts.Ensure procurement activities are conducted in accordance with approved processes and governance requirements.Technical Evaluation & Commercial AssessmentInterpret and evaluate civil and interior drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).Assess contractor submissions from both technical and commercial perspectives.Validate scope requirements and ensure completeness during tendering and contracting stages.Assist project stakeholders in evaluating procurement options and contractor capabilities.Support cost optimization initiatives while maintaining quality and project standards.Contract AdministrationMonitor contractual obligations, terms, and performance throughout the contract lifecycle.Manage contract variations, non-tendered (NT) items, and change management requirements.Support the resolution of contractual claims and disputes through effective documentation and stakeholder coordination.Ensure adherence to approved contract conditions and commercial commitments.Maintain contract records and support documentation for governance and audit requirements.

QualificationsEducationGraduate in Civil Engineering.
