SCCM (Current Branch – Operations)
Operate and maintain SCCM Current Branch environments
Create, modify, and troubleshoot:
Applications and deployments
Collections and queries
Boundaries and boundary groups
Content distribution to DPs
Perform client-side troubleshooting:
Software Center issues
Client health and communication failures
Content download and execution issues
Use logs and reporting for root-cause analysis (client and server side)
Microsoft Intune (Operational)
Manage Windows devices using Microsoft Intune
Deploy and troubleshoot:
Win32 applications
Configuration profiles
Compliance policies
Resolve common Intune issues:
Policy and app deployment failures
Enrollment and device sync issues
IME and device check-in problems
Support co-managed environments (SCCM + Intune)
Software Packaging
Package and maintain applications using:
PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit (PSADT)
SCCM Applications and Intune Win32 apps
Implement:
Reliable detection rules
Install/uninstall logic
Dependencies and supersedence
Troubleshoot complex installers:
User vs system context issues
Non-MSI and legacy installers
Maintain packaging standards and documentation
Patch Management & Compliance
Operate Windows patching via SCCM and/or Intune
Monitor and act on patch compliance reports
Troubleshoot patching issues:
“Not applicable” updates
Stuck or missing patch states
Windows Update agent and registry conflicts
Support security- and CVE-driven remediation efforts
Operational Support
Act as L2/L3 escalation for endpoint-related incidents
Perform deep troubleshooting using:
SCCM client logs
Intune Management Extension logs
Event Viewer and registry analysis
Create and run PowerShell remediation scripts
Proactively identify recurring issues and propose improvements
Required Technical Skills
Mandatory
SCCM Current Branch (hands-on operational experience)
Microsoft Intune (device and app management)
Windows 10 / Windows 11 enterprise management
PowerShell scripting (operations & remediation)
PSADT for application packaging
Windows patching fundamentals and troubleshooting
Expected Level (Medior)
Works independently on standard operational tasks
Troubleshoots issues beyond runbooks
Knows where to look: logs, registry, client behavior
Escalates only complex or architectural topics
Understands impact of changes in production environments

The Medior Endpoint Management Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operational management, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of Microsoft SCCM (Current Branch) and Microsoft Intune. This role is hands-on and production-focused, with strong responsibility for software packaging, patch compliance, and endpoint stability in an enterprise Windows environment. The engineer works independently on most operational tasks and escalations, while aligning with senior engineers on architecture and long-term roadmap decisions.
